BAR 166 & BISTRO Horsforth August 2010
Bar 166 and Bistro is situated at the top end of Town Street in Horsforth. This venue has undergone a complete transformation offering bistro dining with a stylish twist.
The restaurant is not overly large yet beautifully presented with tall backed leather chairs offering an air of sophistication.
There are two separate entrances leading to the bar or the restaurant depending on what takes your fancy yet the pair are connected by glass partitions. By day the bar area is a relaxing space to have an informal lunch on one of the cosy leather couches or a coffee at one of the tables for two.
By night the bar takes on a very different perspective turning into a busy drinking area with music.on the night we visited a DJ was playing and the bar was very busy
Bar 166 also has a separate function room upstairs for private parties and special occasions. There is also a outside terrace for outdoor dining and drinks.
We ordered our meal for 8.30pm on a friday evening and on arrival were asked by the manager Jamie if we wanted to go straight to our table or to have a drink in the bar first. We decided to have a drink at the bar first which was very busy but a nice experience
After the drink we went into the restaurant and were again greeted by jamie and taken to our table |
