The Horse and Jockey in Thurgoland offers traditional home cooked pub food together with a carvery every tuesday to friday between 12 noon and 6pm.
On Sundays the carvery is open from noon to 5pm and costs £6.95 for adults and £5.95 for children
The pub is situated in a very picturesque area near to the Pennine Trail.
The pub runs special offers on food such as a choice of Fish Chips and Peas or Scampi Chips and Peas at 2 for £6
There is also a selection of home made desserts on offer at £2.45.
The Horse and Jockey offers real good value meals and is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

Just had a really good homecooked meal at The Horse and Jockey.Given a very friendly,helpful welcome in this very clean pub.Freshly cooked chips,to order,delicious homemade meat and potato pie served with fresh veg from the carvery and only £7.00 for two. Value not beaten by us anywhere locally.This followed by scrumptuous homemade rhubarb and apple pie.We'll definitely go again
