The Old Farmhouse Restaurant at Netherton
is the perfect venue for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner. The restaurant serves a mouth-watering selection of classic and contemporary dishes; many of the ingredients for which are sourced from their own on-site Farm Shop, or carefully selected from local producers to ensure the finest quality.
The restaurant is open for breakfast service from 9am Tuesday to Saturday and from 10am on Sunday, offering you anything from the hearty Hinchliffe’s Full English Breakfast to the more delicate Farmhouse Muesli with yoghurt & honey. Lunch service starts at 11:45 with a good choice of speciality sandwiches such as Hinchliffe’s Aberdeen Angus rare beef which has been hung for 30 days; together with a range of starters, mains and desserts should you want something more substantial.
Dinner is served on Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm when the restaurant is transformed into an intimate and charming space offering you a chance to sample their amazing choice of starters, mains and desserts. If you are feeling really peckish why not try Hinchliffe’s signature Mixed Grill dish, or why not try their Meatball Carbonara which features the Farm Shop’s award winning sausages.
Children are most welcome at The Old Farmhouse Restaurant, and their calendar of special culinary events include jazz nights, gourmet and wine tasting dinners, and other popular themes and activities including flower arranging brunches and cooking demos. My partner and I called at the shop and cafe on Wednesday after work and were very impressed with the entire place. Although we opted for coffee and cake on this occassion we enjoyed it immensley and saw some delicious looking dishes being brought to surrounding tables, including the large
portion of succulent fish on a pile of home made chips. We will definately come again....if we win the competion!

I have lunch here every couple of weeks. The Manageress & staff are very friendly, nothing seems to be too much trouble.The food is cooked to order so always fresh & you can tell the produce is of the highest standard.The only addition I could see to make an improvement would be a daily specials

Had lunch here on 29/09/09 with my 2 children (age 3 years & 15 months) & my sister-in-law. The food & service was excellent and it's great to find a place which also caters so well for children. my 2 love it & it was actually my son who asked if we could have lunch there as we were going to see the animals and feed the chickens and goats. have been for breakfasts & lunches a couple of times and each time it's been very good & well worth the money. all of the guys who work there are very friendly & attentive.

Visited today for lunch and had fish, chips and mushy peas. My wife had gammon with eggs. This is our second time and the place is welcoming as you enter. The staff are excellent - friendly and engaging. They make you feel most welcome. The food was of a very high standard and delightfully presented. Later in the day we returned for coffee and cake/scone. Again we felt most welcome and the coffee was so good and the cakes home made and yummy. I strongly recommend the restaurant; it is a great experience

I visited The Old Farmhouse Restaurant for the first time on Sunday 2nd August with family who live in the area. The Sunday lunch was one of the very best i've had - excellent service - well cooked and presented food - extra requests dealt with quickly and without fuss. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal. Will visit again when next in area. Highly recommended.

I have walked past the restaurant many times as we go to the Hinchliffes butchers. Last Friday we just decided to pop out for dinner and called into the Old Farmhouse on chance.
From the moment we entered to the moment we left everything was first class, the staff were very friendly, the menu had some excellent choices and the food was cooked to perfection (using Hinchliffes wonderful meat of course). Finally the bill came and again we were very surprised at the
cost, for the food we received to the prices we paid can only de classed as excellent value.
All I will say is go here once and you will definately return, this restaurant is a hidden wonder.
